Centre el Muusa is a psychedelic krautrock band from Estonia. Summer of 2020 sees their four-piece release, their self-titled début album on Germany’s legendary space music label “Sulatron Records”. Available on CD and limited edition vinyl, the LP gives a taste of the hypnotic instrumental music CEM generates.
The band grew out of a long-lasting collaboration of the composers behind Estrada Orchestra – Misha Panfilov (guitar) and Volodja Brodsky (keyboard, effects). Monika Erdman (electric bass) and Aleksei Semenihhin aka DJ Bandit (drums) joined later and completed the form the quartet that CEM is now. The quartet offers a tasteful blend of fuzzy guitars, Wurlitzer piano, and space synthesizers. A repetitive groove provides a strong backbone to a sound that offers a velvety side fitting to those who like minimal, repetitive kraut-rock mixed with garage country tanginess and space ambiance with a touch of spiritual jazz.
