Workshop: Minfulness self compassion
The workshop deals with the question what mindfulness self compassion is and how we can benefit from practicing it.
When we experience feelings such as anxierty, anger, shame, sadness and guilt most of the time we just want to „get rid of them“. But the more we try to make those feelings disappear, the stronger those feelings normally become. Self compassion is a different way of dealing with those feelings: it means that instead of avoiding our feelings we observe our feelings with kindness and understanding. By doing this we treat ourselves with the same compassion as we would do towards a beloved person or even towards a stranger.
Mindulness self compassion consists of three concepts: mindfulness, self-kindness and common humanity. Those three elements of mindfulness self compassion are going to be made accessible in the workshop through exercises.
